How to Measure your Doxie

Use a soft measuring tape and have your pup stand naturally.

  • Back Length

Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.

  • Chest Girth

Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Make sure the tape is snug but not tight.

  • Neck Circumference

Measure around the base of the neck where the collar naturally sits. Leave room for two fingers.

    Finding Your Size

Each coat has its own unique size chart based on its specific design and fit. Please refer to the individual size guide on each product page to find the right size for your doxie.

    Sizing Tips

    • Chest girth matters most. This is the most important measurement. Always prioritise chest girth over weight or back length. If the chest doesn’t fit, the coat won’t close properly.
    • Allow room to move. Our size guide lists the garment measurements, not your dog’s measurements. For the best fit and comfort, allow 1–2cm of space, meaning your dachshund should measure slightly smaller than the size chart.
